A Guide to Voices and Speech Technology Vendors supported by VocaTalk

VocaTalk is compatible with SAPI 5.3 and 5.1 voices. So in principle it should support any voice that is compatible with those SAPI versions. The voices from the following vendors have been tested and confirmed to work with VocaTalk.

Almost all vendors provide trial versions of their voices. So it is recommended that you download trial versions of the voices you like and test with VocaTalk before purchasing.

The more voices you have, the richer the experience, because VocaTalk can use all voices on your system randomly in the same reading. VocaTalk can modulate voice pitch dynamically to give the sensation of an even richer set of voices. Changing the speaker voice during reading reduces monotony, increases attention and makes the experience whole lot more engaging.
