License Activation
Versions before 1.0.16 requires a two step activation process which causes a crash on some machines. Versions from 1.0.16 and on use
a simpler one step activation process. The old activation keys are not valid with 1.0.16. The new activation keys start with an "RB-" prefix.
To fix the problem, just download the new version and request a new activation key.
Windows XP Installations
VocaTalk versions on and after 1.0.20 support Windows XP.
However there are some minor differences in some of the features; XP version uses external media player to play the epidosed,
XP comes with a different set of default voices.
Note about Default Voices
Windows Vista and 7 come with the default voice 'Microsoft Anna'. Windows XP comes with 'Microsoft Sam' and
other voices can be downloaded from Microsoft. However third party voices like AT&T, Acapella, Cepstral and Ivona
are much higher quality than the default voices. So the default voices should not be taken as a measure
of quality of the application. Please always test the quality and compatibility of any voice before purchasing them.
